Construction Laborer/Installer in Training
Unified’s construction laborers are on job sites, performing the various installs, and repairs necessary for petroleum fuel facilities.
They install underground storage tanks and piping for fuel systems. Travel is required Monday-Friday.

We are looking for someone who:

Has a mechanical aptitude, any experience in trades, agriculture and/or experience in any industrial/commercial settings.

Can lift up to 50lbs as well as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, etc.
-
Adhere to a DOT physical & drug screen, DMV check, and background check, all of which are subject to applicable federal, state, and local law.
-
Can be consistent with applicable laws and follow strict safety and technical protocols.
-
Can work independently (after you are trained that is) and has basic knowledge of technical devices such as a smartphone.

Is able to communicate effectively.
-
Has established organizational and planning skills.
-
Can troubleshoot and utilize problem solving skills in unique situations.
What are the primary responsibilities of a Construction Laborer?​​
-
Install and test petroleum tanks, piping and other equipment
-
Plans, reviews and develops a layout of each job assignment as directed. Reviews project status with supervisor on a regular basis. Completes all paperwork necessary for completion of each job.

Removal and disposal of old petroleum equipment
-
Follow safety procedures on each job
-
Operate various power tools, skid loaders, air compressors, forklifts, and other related tools and equipment in performing described duties

Traveling to out of town job sites and work outdoors
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Established organizational and planning skills.
Clean driving record.

Our crews work Monday through Friday in various parts of the Midwest. Motel and per diem is provided.

Petroleum Service Technician
Service Technicians will be troubleshooting and repairing fueling systems which include fuel dispenser electronics and hydraulics, submersible turbine pumps, monitoring equipment, and point of sale systems within the gas station industry.
A Petroleum Service Technician is responsible for completing the following duties:​

Troubleshoot, install and repair petroleum equipment according to manufacturer specifications.

Maintain required performance and maintenance records
-
Warranty work, annual inspections, and emergency service work
-
Equipment testing to check operation
-
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-
Valid driver’s license required and good driving record
-
Strong work ethic
-
Experience in a labor-intensive position (construction, heavy industrial cleaning, agriculture, etc)
-
Ability to perform all aspects of the position including being able to lift up to 70 lbs and being on your feet for a majority of your shift
-
Ability to enter and work in confined spaces
-
The job may require some overnights
-
Successfully pass and maintain state and manufactures required certifications
-
Appropriate weights and measures permits a plus
-
HS Graduate or equivalent
-
Tech/trade school training is a plus

Environmental Field Technician
Environmental Field Technician is responsible for completing the following duties:​
-
Conducts inspections of equipment and sites referring to regulations, policies and customer requirements.
-
Performs a variety of fuel containment tests, equipment integrity tests, and leak-detection tests in order to detect leaks or to prevent future leaks due to non-compliance or equipment failure.
-
Complete maintenance and minor repairs.
-
Install equipment and or testing of tank gauge systems
-
Ability to perform manual construction work and equipment operation as described.
-
Utilize various testing devices, multiple hand and power tools related to the job.
-
Enter and analyze test results into company computer and be able to communicate any issues or findings to the Compliance Manager for further direction
Manage and report inventory of parts and supplies on company vehicle
Qualifications
